The Four Elements of Ceramics

The earth

At a thousand degrees, it fuses molecules, vitrifies glazes, and reveals hidden colors. Supreme alchemist, it consumes what was to give birth to what will be. From its flames springs the finished work, definitive, immortal.

 

Thus, within each ceramic piece lies the history of the elements. From primal mud to precious object, from chaos to harmony, the creator is merely the mediator between these primordial forces.
